July 16th 2009
It's been very hot, in the 90 + range. I waited until after 8 PM to walk. I decided to walk to CVS to get the milk we needed. A gentle breeze was blowing, I could here insects in the trees, the sun was setting marking the start of Sabot (Sabbath) for my Jewish neighbors. I went down to Dempster then up two blocks to CVS, I got the milk, dish soap and a pop for me and head back toward home. Mom had said "The milk will be heavy are you sure you want to walk and carry it." She was right I had to keep changing hands with the bag it was in. It was still an enjoyable walk home. The breeze was in my face, there wasn't a cloud in the sky as the sun was setting in the west. There was a Crescent Moon, or a Toe Nail Moon as Dwight would have described it a few years ago. I found it hard to believe that it had turned into such a nice evening. I walked about 25 Min. it was one of the most walks I've had so far. I had worn my new work shoes they seem to be more conferable then my tennis shoes, I think I may need to buy a good pair of walking shoes. I just bought a mp3 player and the message Bible on MP3, to use when I walk, this is getting expensive, but I think it's a good investment.
